Yes, I think Bill Gates may be one of the sexiest men on earth.

Not only is he:

1) One of the most influential and powerful people in history, yet remains modest and continues to laugh at himself

2) Worth billions and is still frugal with his spending, donating billions to charity.

3) Will be leaving Microsoft to pursue philanthropy full time

My first football game: USC vs Cal Berkeley

On Saturday November 18th, I went to my very first football game -- USC versus Cal Berkeley.

Not too shabby either since we were at the 50 yard line right behind the Cal players.

My friend Victoria and I know little about football and don't proclaim extreme loyalty to either team -- I've always focused more on academia, so both Universities were on par to me.

I did enjoy watching the dedication demonstrated by the fans -- an extreme fervor and passion over a team of players and the sport itself. Now imagine how much the world could be changed if that same excitement were shared in helping others? Ok, ok, I will get off my soapbox now.

It was a fun time to be had by all -- sometimes you just need to stop thinking about world peace and just get crunk'd with your friends and mix it up with some serious university rivalry.

Songs I Love

I don't think there is any medium that touches me like music. I spend all day listening to songs I love on endless repeat.

Below is a list of my favorite songs that move me for one reason or another:

"Love Generation" by Bob Sinclair: Must be the world's most happy-go-lucky song of love and inspiration. Makes me smile every time I hear it. Watch the video, it's very sweet - a celebration of giving and diversity.
"Hope" by Shaggy: Song that encompasses the strength of human spirit and keeps me going
"Everybody Hurts" by REM: I abhorred this song until I saw it put to a 9/11 montage with scenes from Ground Zero. After that, I couldn't stop listening to it without tearing up.
"Lay Lady Lay" by Magnet & Gemma Hayes: To think I would ever love a song originally by Bob Dylan (who I don't know anything about except he was the "Live Aid" guy which makes him cool to me) blows my mind. It's on the Mr. & Mrs. Smith soundtrack which I highly recommend.
"In the Deep" by Bird York: Reminds me of the movie "Crash" which I loved
"Unforgettable" by Nat King Cole: First time I heard this song was as background to a Revlon commercial with all of the world's top Supermodels (Cindy Crawford, etc.) Upon hearing it, I felt destined to become a supermodel and be unforgettable too. Hm, apparently songs inspire -- but they don't necessarily make you a supermodel. ;op
"Don't Stop" by ATB and "Everytime" by Lustral: I never got into the raving scene, but I love these techno ditties.
"Con Te Partiro" by Andrea Bocelli: Otherwise known as the song they play when the fountains go off at the Bellagio in Las Vegas, this song is unbelievable. Blinded at the age of 12, he has the voice of an angel.
"True" by Spandau Ballet or "Serenade" by Shades: I love nearly every remake or remix of this song -- yes including Nelly's version "N Dey Say".
"Let it Flow" by Toni Braxton: From the 'Waiting to Exhale' soundtrack, it's about letting go of pain and knowing one's worth which we all struggle with.
"Cool" by Gwen Stefani: I've been with the same man for over 11 years. When I listen to this song, I wonder if we could ever be "cool" if we broke up.
"Point of View" by DB Boulevard: About how the supposed "hardships" of life become so much easier if you just change your perspective.

I have this personal checklist in life of things I wish to accomplish before time's up, from places to go to things to do - it's ever changing and fluid -- we'll see how far I get:

Work for Microsoft - Mission Accomplished!
Vacation at the Atlantis Resort at Paradise Island in the Bahamas
Create a program to help young girls increase their self-esteem
Create a program or support system to drive technology usage within Black and Hispanic households where it presently stands at only 5%, all children should have equal access to the benefits of computing.
Attend a party at the Playboy Mansion - Mission Accomplished!
Appear on the cover of a fashion magazine
Visit the Getty Villas in Malibu
